I think basil WANTS to die after a short while. always happens to me as well. there is something suicidal even in the word basil - okay, just the "l" at the end, but still. suicidal basil - it only lives as long as it eaten up at a faster rate than new leaves grow. which makes it die as well, but if you don't eat it up it will equally die.

okay. no youtube, no instructions, just my experiences with basil and thoughts about it.

hahahahaha I LOVE that extreme approach on the basil topic and given my experience with basil, I think you are on to something there. What about all the basil influenceres out there though? Is it A.I? Is it a cruel joke they make to trick the rest of us into believing we can save something that is beyond saving? Is that a philosopical metaphor for our whole world? The basil gate?

aaah, but you know what it's like with influencers (are there honestly basil influencers out there?? 😅). It's the same with things like, eat superfoods like 15 bananas every day and you'll lose 28 pounds in three days; or, swallow half a spoon and pronounce the letters LLMN for five minutes and your facial contours and skin texture will be like those of a six-year-old after only 12 weeks. Therefore, water your basil and read five chapters of Kafka aloud every day and basil will grow out of your fingernails, is an almost feasible approach, don't you think?

(but then, it's understandable to get suicidal when being read five chapters of Kafka every day)
